Prospect Farms is pleased to announce our participation in Radicle Science’s ACES (Advancing CBD Education & Science) study. Radicle ACES is the first multi-brand, Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved study on CBD effectiveness across well-being, quality of life, pain, sleep disturbance, and anxiety.
Thirteen leading U.S. CBD brands, including Prospect Farms, Charlotte’s Web, and Lord Jones, will participate in Radicle ACES, the largest and most comprehensive randomized controlled trial (RCT) of its kind with nearly 3,000 study participants across the U.S.

Radicle’s scientific team of experts consist of doctors, researchers, biostatisticians, and data scientists at institutions including UCLA, UC San Diego, Scripps Sleep Center, Johns Hopkins and University of Washington.
"Radicle ACES is a groundbreaking new approach to conducting clinical trials. Taking advantage of the newly established infrastructure of connectivity, and technology that allows for remote patient monitoring and data collection. Radicle ACES will complete rigorous clinical research at an unprecedented scale and speed. This approach also makes clinical trials accessible to larger and more representative populations. The results of the Radicle ACES research program will help answer critical questions about the efficacy and safety of specific CBD products for targeted health-related effects." - Ryan Vandrey, PhD, Professor, Behavioral Pharmacology, John Hopkins University
Radicle ACES findings will address the top two barriers to CBD usage identified in a 2019 Nielsen study: 1) difficulty gauging effectiveness of specific products, and 2) lack of research data on health benefits.
“The value and credibility that the Radicle ACES study will bring to the commercial CBD space is rooted in the trusted, scientifically-evaluated first-party data and a level of transparency that consumers would traditionally demand and have access to before purchasing a wellness product in a parallel category, we know that not all CBD is created equal and, given the research in this category has historically been focused specifically on cannabinoids in isolation, not as part of a fully formulated product commercially available to consumers, we believe the findings of this study will bring tremendous validation to our products and other leading products in the space.” - Brad Tipper, CEO of Prospect Farms
Prospect Farms remains deeply committed to advancing the CBD industry with scientific research and evaluation and we look forward to sharing the preliminary results from the Radicle ACES study in October.
